These principals are the foundation of a holistic approach that quickly narrows in on root cause and identifies targeted improvements.

Recent experiences:

  • Defined a path to profitability for a mid-market paper processor. Evaluated cause of direct labor overtime, low machine and space utilization and procurement practice driving up inventory levels. Initiated projects to improve maintenance and increase uptime.

  • Ran a designed experiment at a contract manufacturer in China to identify root causes for paint defects deemed “too complicated to solve”. Isolated temperature and viscosity as driving factors.

  • Identified $1M in cost reductions at a $30M pottery company that was budgeting $0 in EBITDA.

  • Reduced overtime 40% with visual controls and process improvements for a food distributor.

Experienced in applying operational improvement methodologies to business support processes, including: Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Engineering, and Customer Service.
